Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-03

THE AGREEMENT

These terms are a contract between you and Ascend.Blue (“Ascend”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Ascend. No hard feelings.

BETA SOFTWARE

Ascend is in beta. It is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Features may change, break, or be removed; we may have downtime; and while we work hard to protect your data, we can’t guarantee it will never be lost. Log anything irreplaceable somewhere else too.

NOT MEDICAL ADVICE

Ascend is a tracking and motivation tool, not a doctor, physical therapist, or certified coach. Nothing in the app is medical advice. The training targets you see are the ones you (or your program) entered, and estimates like estimated one-rep max (e1RM) are informational calculations only. They are not instructions to attempt a lift.

Consult a physician before starting or changing an exercise program, especially if you have any medical condition. Lifting weights carries inherent risk of injury. You are responsible for training within your own abilities, using appropriate equipment and supervision, and stopping when something feels wrong. You use Ascend at your own risk.

YOUR ACCOUNT

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ascend. You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Give us a real email address. It’s how you verify your account and recover your password. Tell us at support@ascend.blue if you think your account has been compromised.

ACCEPTABLE USE

Keep it honest. Don’t:

  • break, probe, or overload the service, or try to access other users’ data;
  • use the service for anything unlawful;
  • scrape, resell, or automate access to the service without our permission;
  • impersonate others or create accounts by automated means.

YOUR DATA

Your training data is yours. We store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. A few narrow records are retained after deletion — the Privacy Policy lists them under “Deleting your data”.

PAYMENTS

There are none. Ascend sells nothing: no paid tier, no subscription, no one-time purchase, no in-app purchase. Founding a cluster and joining one are both free. We never ask for card details, we have no payment processor, and there is no checkout anywhere in the app or on the web.

If that ever changes, this section changes first: we will say what costs money, put the price in front of you before you owe anything, and update the date at the top of this page.

TERMINATION

You can stop using Ascend and delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. If we ever need to discontinue the service, we’ll make reasonable efforts to give you notice so you can save what matters to you.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascend and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including personal injury arising from your training decisions, lost data, or lost profits) arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we’ll give you notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Ascend after a change means you accept the new terms.
